Matters arising from the Woodhouse area

No incidents were reported to the police in the Woodhouse area during the period November 2007 to January 23rd 2008.

The Police are keeping a check on the young people who congregate at the bottom of Daisy Road.  Cars have been checked to see that road fund licenses are up to date, that drivers are insured and other driver details are in order.

Teenagers have been playing football in the grounds of Woodhouse School at the weekends.  The Police are to have a word with the head teacher Mrs Stoker about this.

Cars parked on Ashlea Avenue, Close and Drive, Daisy Road and Archbell Avenue, before and after the school opens, are an onging problem.  The problem occurs with all the schools in the area.  Three head teachers from the schools in the area are to have a meeting to discuss ways of trying to combat this problem.  A letter is to be place in their magazine expressing their concerns and a copy sent to each parent.  A copy will also be sent to Ronnie Smith.

Action: It would be helpful if a meeting could be arranged with Mrs Stoker to discuss a solution to  the Woodhouse parking problems.

The date of the next meeting of the Police Forum is to be arranged following changes that are to be made by the new Chief Constable.
