27 Nov 2007 - Police Liaison Officer’s Report

Police Liaison Officer’s Report

Ronnie Smith made his report from the meeting attended on 19th November 2007. Attended by two Community Police officers, five reps for local schools and other Action Group representatives. Local policeman sent apologies (injured?).

Three cars were damaged on Woodhouse Lane in September. However, no further reports on park at end of Daisy Road. There has been a promise of police presence.

Concerns were raised regarding parking for Woodhouse School – safety issues etc.  The police have tried to persuade the head teacher to go (or send a representative) to one of the meetings but no presence so far.

Action: David and Ronnie to meet up with Head Teacher Mrs Stoker.

Mohammed Riaz mentioned that the our new Chief Constable is from Lancashire and is getting people out of cars and onto the street. The police are to improve their service.

There will be newly staffed stations so that when residents ring should always be someone from this area on duty (Bryan Marshall – 07913 530581).

Next meeting of Police etc – 24th January 2008.
