27 Nov 2007 - Woodhouse Primary School
Woodhouse School and the actions of teenagers around the park were raised as issues of concern.
Discussion focused on problems that a minority of teenagers can cause in various areas of Woodhouse- e.g. moving from site to site (cars arriving with loud music etc).
School traffic was discussed with regard to the parking and access problems it can cause.
Some parents cause a nuisance by arriving over an hour early to get a ‘good spot’. The parking outside homes/driveways and the amount of traffic is potentially dangerous for children etc.
Speed bumps outside the school were mooted but apparently the school is not on a major road which it was thought as the criteria for such traffic calming. Yellow lines restricting parking would also affect residents.
